Vous aurez remarqué que :
– l’adverbe anglais finit par -ly et se forme en prenant l’adjectif ou, parfois, le participe présent ou passé et en lui ajoutant simplement la particule -ly : quick + ly = quickly / admiring + ly = admiringly / amused + ly = amusedly / energetical + ly = energetically (le “l” est double)
– pour les adverbes qui finissent par “-le”, comme subtle, il faut simplement enlever le “-le” et ajouter -ly
– il y a une exception à la règle : good devient well.
Il y a QUELQUES AUTRES FACONS DE DECRIRE LA MANIERE DE FAIRE QQCH, par exemple :

. par “by” (ou “on”), comme dans :
I went by car, by bus, by train, by plane… but on foot [moyen de transport] = réponse à une question telle que “Comment es-tu venu ?”
We met by chance (par hasard) = réponse à une question telle que “Comment vous êtes-vous rencontrés ?”
Those pullovers are made by hand (à la main) = réponse à une question telle que “Comment fabrique-t-on cela ?”
I got used little by little/step by step to staying alone (petit à petit) = réponse à une question telle que “Comment as-tu fait ?”
I learnt how to play the guitar by watching videos [by + -ing = en…] = réponse à une question telle que “Comment as-tu appris à jouer de la guitare ?”
I received it by mail/by post= réponse à une question telle que “Comment l’as-tu eu ou reçu ?”
I have to know it by heart (par coeur) = réponse à une question telle que “Comment dois-tu savoir ce texte, ce devoir ?”
He has taken it by mistake or by inadvertence (par erreur or par distraction) = réponse à une question telle que “Comment se fait-il qu’il ait le téléphone de sa copine sur lui?”
Encore une dernière chose :
Après les “Link verbs” comme to seem, look…, même si l’on répond à la question : Comment a-t-il l’air?, on utilise l’adjectif et non l’adverbe : He looked angry et NON : He looks angrily
